              Dr. Huang Zhonglian, a translation theorist, and proposer of translation variation theory, and establisher of scientific translation and applied translation. He is from the sixth group of the "Hundred Talents Program" Youth Project of Shaanxi Province. He has worked as a professor of Russian studies at Huazhong Normal University and Heilongjiang University. He is director of the Centre for Russian Studies, a key research base under the Ministry of Education. His research interests include theories of translation, translation of scientific and technical texts, and translation assessment. He has published many articles and won many university, provincial and national awards in teaching and research, such as the first prize in teaching in Huazhong Normal University (2002/2004), the third prize in social science research in Hubei Province (2003), and the New Century Talent Support Scheme (2007).Dr. Huang Zhonglian, a translation theorist, and proposer of translation variation theory, and establisher of scientific translation and applied translation.
